CLAUD CHRISTIAN is an award winning British design studio based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, representing the collaborative work and professional partnership of Claudia Surrage and Christian Cowper.

Graduation of Three-Dimensional Design: Furniture & Product, alongside the study of ceramics built a strong foundation of knowledge on top of an intuitive creative grounding for the duo. A natural intrigue and sensitivity for form, proportion and material choice, combined with a sense of human and emotional connection, have allowed Claudia and Christian to create beautiful works often with a distilled simplicity. 

Following their education and establishment of their studio, the pair have gone on to design in collaboration with esteemed companies as well as creating award-winning in-house designed and produced works. 

With inspiration and reference collected from an array of sources, from modernist icons to ancient crafts and cultures, Christian and Claudia are able to generate rich pools of concepts and refined designs for a breadth of design briefs and audiences.
